Hue has historical sites, some of which have been designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Along the Huong River from Hue there are countless other monuments, including the tombs of a number of emperors, including Minh Mang, Khai Dinh and Tu Duc. A pagoda of Hue is Thien Mu pagoda, the largest pagoda in Hue and the official symbol of the city.
The Hue Museum of Royal Antiques is located at 3 Le Truc Street, also displaying a collection of different artifacts from the city.
Some French buildings are located along the southern bank of the Huong River. One of them is Quoc Hoc High School and Hai Ba Trung High School, the oldest high schools in Vietnam.
