The Mekong Delta is considered to be the "rice basket of Vietnam", contributing more than half of the nation's rice production. People say of Cần Thơ:

Cần Thơ (shared with Hau Giang) is famous for its floating markets, where people sell and buy things on the river, as well as the bird gardens and the port of Ninh Kieu.
The city offers a wide range of tropical fruits such as pomelo, longan, jacktruit, mango, guava, banana, rambutan,mangosteen, dragon fruit and durian.
The Cần Thơ City Museum has exhibits on the city's history.
Depart for My Tho – southernmost region of Vietnam, 70 km from Ho Chi Minh City. Tourists drive to My Tho City, take a cruise on Tien River to visit floating fish raft, fruit orchard on the Unicorn Island. Listen to folk music and enjoy some tropical fruits. Ride on rowing boat along the canals to visit Coconut Village where you can taste a favor of coconut candy. Visit the bee farm and taste pure honey, honey tea. After lunch, continue to Can Tho City, check in at the hotel. Relax and have dinner. Overnight in Can Tho.
