Trang An is an eco-tourism site located in Trang An World Heritage Site in Ninh Binh Province. It has been ranked by the Government of Vietnam as a special important national monument and UNESCO has been recognized as a double world heritage site since 2014. Trang An with a system of limestone mountain ranges with a geological age of about 250 million years, For a long time, weathered by changes of the earth, climate, sea forward and regressive sea has brought hundreds of valleys, caves and lakes. This landscape is a place to preserve and contain many wetland ecosystems, limestone forests, archaeological sites and cultural and historical relics. [1] The system of rocky mountains, rivers, streams, forests and caves in Trang An became very dangerous, so it was chosen by King Dinh Tien Hoang to become the South to protect Hoa Lu capital in the tenth century and then Tran Dynasty used it as Vu Lam palace. during the Mongol resistance. Currently, there are many historical sites in Dinh and Tran dynasties.
Trang An - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Inter-area - Hoa Lu ancient capital - Hoa Lu special-use forest is currently planned into Trang An Landscape Complex, becoming the first dual-world heritage site in Vietnam with the Outstanding values of natural landscapes, cultural history and geological tectonics and also a place invested to become an international-class tourist area.
